Urban Morphology: Planning, Recovery and Resilience
Iscte and DINÂMIA’CET-Iscte are honored to host the 11th International Conference of the Lusophone Network of Urban Morphology (PNUM 2023). The Portuguese-Language Network of Urban Morphology / PNUM was founded in 2010, within the framework of the International Seminar on Urban Form / ISUF, an international network dedicated to the study of urban form. PNUM brings together several researchers, academics, and professionals from various areas of knowledge, including architecture, urbanism, history, urban planning, sociology and urban geography, and anthropology, among others, who are dedicated to the study of the physical form of cities, their main processes and the agents that contribute to them. PNUM has the collaboration of colleagues from Portugal and Brazil, but it is its ambition to establish itself with a greater presence in the rest of the Portuguese-speaking space.
PNUM’s main activities include: the development of its annual conferences, which are held alternately in Portugal and Brazil; the edition of the ‘Revista de Morfologia Urbana’, published since 2013; and its annual workshops.
The PNUM 2023 conference will be held in Sintra/Portugal, both in person and remotely, and will have the title “ Urban Morphology: Planning, Recovery and Resilience”. The event will take place at the facilities of Iscte Sintra, Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval and the Municipal Library of Sintra.
